Here you go folks, another self portrait, this time for my male character series. Done for “My Favorite Tale” contest over at :iconpainters:

This is Alfred, from my current favorite musical, Tanz der Vampire. He’s just a student, studying under Professor Abronsius, vampire hunter. However, it seems like Alfred has once again lost the Professor in the woods. This is a problem for Alfred as he is well meaning but scared of everything. (If your familiar with the show this scene would take place during the song He, ho, he.)

So I’ve had plans for this piece for months but was too lazy to actually execute it. I was motivated to do it with the announcement of :iconpainters: current contest, I thought, wow I’ve got the perfect thing for it. And so here it is.


Won third place in :iconpainters: "My Mavorite Tale" contest
Won Second Best of Show Am. Dev. 2011 Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition.

This is a very well done painting.
I like her facial expression and the creature that seems far away and near her at the same time.
Your choice of colours is great, the light in the face looks very realistic.
